Built-In Overload Protection

The PB7 incorporates over-current protection through an integrated circuit breaker. If the connected load exceeds the powerboard’s rated capacity, the circuit breaker is designed to safely interrupt power. Once the cause of the overload has been addressed, the powerboard can be reset by switching the power off and then switching the power point back on. This provides a straightforward way to help manage excessive connected loads while using the powerboard within its specified rating.

Practical Four-Outlet Design

With four available outlets, the PB7 can accommodate multiple electrical appliances or equipment from one wall power point. Its 1 m cord provides practical reach for typical workbench, office and domestic setups without requiring an unnecessarily long lead. The powerboard is rated for a maximum 10 A load at 240 V and 50 Hz. It should only be connected to a correctly wired power point with a suitable earth connection.

Use Within Its Rated Application

The Cabac PB7 is designed for indoor use and should not be used outdoors or in wet locations. It is intended for overload protection rather than surge protection, so it should not be relied upon to protect connected equipment from lightning strikes or sustained over-voltage conditions caused by mains distribution faults.
