The Sherwood Nomex Arc Flash Standard Kit HRC4 provides a complete PPE solution for electrical work in arc flash environments up to 69 cal/cm². Manufactured by Sherwood using quality materials from DuPont Nomex and Paulson USA, the kit combines essential protective garments and equipment in one convenient package.

The kit includes a 69 cal/cm² arc flash hood, jacket, bib trouser and arc flash gloves, together with an MSA V-Gard 500 hard hat and heavy-duty waterproof PPE bag. The supplied hood also comes with its own protective bag for easier storage and transport. Designed for professional electrical and maintenance applications, the kit helps workers prepare for hazardous electrical tasks while keeping essential arc flash PPE together and ready for use.

Select the Hood Configuration That Suits Your Work

Three hood configurations are available to suit different working environments and user preferences. The Standard Hood provides the conventional enclosed configuration, while the Vented Hood is designed to provide cooling and an anti-fogging effect. The Lift Up Hood allows easier communication with colleagues and helps reduce the feeling of claustrophobia while maintaining protective coverage. The kit is available in Medium, with other sizes including Large, XL and 3XL available on request. Non-standard options may have additional lead times.

Designed for Professional Electrical Work

The components are specified against relevant arc flash PPE standards, including ASTM F2178 for the hood, ASTM F1506 for the jacket and bib trouser, and ASTM F2675 for the gloves. The kit also references NFPA 70E and AS 4836.

Where additional protection is required, garments and PPE may be layered in accordance with the applicable requirements of NFPA 70E to achieve the necessary arc rating. The required PPE selection should always be determined through an appropriate arc flash risk assessment and workplace procedures.
