The MSS Fibre FC-110MST Media Converter provides a practical way to connect copper Ethernet networks to multimode fibre optic infrastructure. Designed to convert 100BASE-TX copper Ethernet signals to 100BASE-FX fibre signals, it supports Fast Ethernet connectivity at data rates of up to 100Mbps.

Using a 1300nm multimode optical wavelength and an ST fibre interface, this media converter supports transmission distances of up to 2km under suitable operating conditions. It offers a useful option for network installations where fibre connectivity is needed to extend a connection beyond the practical reach of copper Ethernet cabling.
