MSS Fibre 2F INDOOR/OUTDOOR RISER CABLE OM1 ORANGE CAB-IOR-02-MM-OR

Description

MSS Fibre 2F OM1 Indoor/Outdoor Riser Cable

The MSS Fibre CAB-IOR-02-MM-OR is a two-fibre OM1 indoor/outdoor riser cable designed for fibre optic cabling installations that require a flexible, lightweight cable construction. Its orange jacket provides easy visual identification during installation, maintenance and cable management.

Featuring 900µm PVC tight-buffered fibres, this cable offers a practical construction for network infrastructure projects. The tight-buffered design helps protect the optical fibres and supports convenient handling during cable routing and installation. With two fibre cores, it is suitable for applications where a compact fibre configuration meets the requirements of the planned network.

LSZH Jacket and Water-Blocking Construction

The cable features a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) outer sheath. LSZH materials are designed to limit smoke generation and halogen acid gas emissions when exposed to fire, making this jacket type an important consideration when selecting cabling for suitable building and infrastructure environments. Actual installation suitability depends on the applicable project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Dry-block construction incorporates water-swellable, aramid reinforcing blocking yarns to help restrict water migration along the cable. This feature supports the cable’s intended indoor/outdoor application by providing an additional measure of protection against moisture ingress. The cable is non-armoured and does not include a sacrificial sheath, so installation conditions and mechanical protection requirements should be assessed before use.

Flexible Solution for Fibre Network Installations

Designed for indoor/outdoor riser applications, the MSS Fibre OM1 cable provides a practical option for contractors installing or maintaining fibre optic infrastructure. Its flexible, lightweight construction can help simplify cable handling and routing, while the orange jacket assists identification in organised cabling systems.

For electrical contractors, telecommunications installers and network technicians, selecting the correct fibre mode, core count and cable construction is essential for compatibility with the intended equipment and installation environment. Confirm that OM1 multimode fibre meets the project’s transmission requirements before ordering.
