MSS Fibre 12F INDOOR/OUTDOOR RISER CABLE SM YELLOW CAB-IOR-12-SM-YL

Description

Flexible Fibre Cable for Indoor and Outdoor Installations

The MSS Fibre 12F Indoor/Outdoor Riser Cable is designed for fibre optic infrastructure requiring a practical cable construction for indoor and outdoor use. Featuring 12 single mode fibres, this cable supports installations where multiple fibre connections are required within a single cable assembly. Its riser-style construction makes it a useful option for network infrastructure and telecommunications projects.

The cable uses 900µm PVC tight-buffered fibres, providing a flexible construction suited to fibre installation and handling. Its lightweight design can help simplify cable routing and handling during installation, particularly in projects where flexibility and efficient cable management are important.

Finished with a yellow low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) outer sheath, the cable is designed with a sheath material that limits smoke and halogen acid gas emissions compared with conventional halogenated materials under fire conditions. This makes LSZH construction a relevant consideration when specifying cable for suitable building and infrastructure applications.

Water-Blocking Construction and Fibre Protection

The MSS Fibre riser cable incorporates dry-block, water-swellable aramid reinforcing blocking yarns. These materials provide water-blocking protection within the cable construction while also reinforcing the cable assembly. This design helps address moisture ingress concerns in appropriate installation environments.

The cable is non-armoured and does not include a sacrificial sheath. These construction details are important when assessing the cable against project requirements, installation conditions and any additional mechanical protection needed along the route.

Its indoor/outdoor riser design offers flexibility for projects that require a cable suitable for the intended indoor and outdoor sections of a fibre network. Installers should confirm the manufacturer’s installation requirements and environmental limitations before specifying the cable for a particular route.

Suitable for Fibre Network Infrastructure

With 12 single mode fibres in a yellow jacket, the MSS Fibre cable provides a clearly identifiable option for fibre optic infrastructure projects. Its construction is suited to applications where single mode fibre, compact handling and water-blocking features are important selection considerations.

Electrical contractors, telecommunications installers and network infrastructure teams can consider this cable for suitable data and communications installations. Before ordering, verify the required fibre count, cable construction, installation environment and project specifications to ensure compatibility with the intended application.
