The connector is designed for run-and-tap connections across the specified 50–70mm² conductor range. Its C-shaped configuration provides a practical method of joining or tapping compatible copper conductors during electrical installation and maintenance work.

Suitable for Earthing and Bonding

The Cabac CACC70 is suitable for bonding connections to earth grids and earthing conductors. It can also be used for tapping off compatible earth and aerial conductors, making it useful across a range of electrical and infrastructure applications. The connector has been heat-cycle tested in accordance with IEEE 837 Clause 8, supporting its use in grounding and earthing connection applications where reliable electrical performance is required.

Trade-Friendly Tooling Compatibility

Tooling for the CACC range is interchangeable between CABAC and Burndy systems, providing added convenience for electrical contractors already using compatible crimping equipment. The connector has a reported tensile strength of 200 MPa and ductility rating of 40%.
