The Sherwood 43cal Lift-Up SWC Nomex Arc Flash Kit provides a complete HRC4 PPE solution for electrical professionals working in environments requiring arc flash protection up to 43cal/cm². The kit combines Sherwood components with quality materials from DuPont Nomex and Paulson USA to provide a practical setup for switching and maintenance tasks.
This 2XL kit includes a lift-up hood, switching coat, leggings, arc flash gloves, MSA V-Gard 500 hard hat and a heavy-duty waterproof PPE bag. The lift-up hood design allows operators to communicate more easily with colleagues and helps reduce the restrictive feel associated with enclosed hoods while maintaining the specified protective configuration.
Complete PPE Kit for Efficient Switching Work
The switching coat is designed for quick donning, helping electrical workers prepare efficiently before entering the required work area. The complete kit keeps essential arc flash PPE together in one dedicated bag, making it easier to transport, store and protect equipment between jobs.
The supplied hood is rated for HRC4 43cal/cm² applications under ASTM F2178, while the switching coat and leggings are rated under ASTM F1506. The included gloves are specified to ASTM F2675. The kit is also listed for use in accordance with NFPA 70E and AS 4836 requirements.
Lift-Up Hood and 2XL Configuration
The lift-up hood provides a practical alternative to a fully enclosed hood configuration, particularly where communication and visibility during electrical work are important considerations.
